KCPS – Lincoln Middle School, Re-Opening Conversation

August 3 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Kansas City Public Schools is exploring the possibility of reopening Lincoln Middle School in order to help address increasing enrollment at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy and the academic expectations of the community. Students and parents are an important part of that decision-making process. We need your input. Please join us at one of the following public meetings as we talk through the potential reopening of Lincoln Middle:

  • Phase 1 Meeting (South Area):  5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 17 at Troost Elementary School (1215 E. 59th St., KCMO)
  • Phase 1 Meeting (North Area):  5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at Manual Career and Technical Center (1215 E. Truman St., KCMO)
  • Phase 2 Meeting:  5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 at Lincoln Prep (2111 Woodland Ave., KCMO)

It’s important to emphasize that a final decision has not been made to reopen Lincoln Middle. Public input needs to be gathered first. That’s why we need current and prospective Lincoln Prep students and parents to attend these meetings. If you are unable to attend, we will launch an online survey in the next few weeks to gather feedback. We look forward to hearing from you!
