Points of Pride
- We encourage the Scholars by being the best by promoting and teaching about African Culture Consciousness as well as Self-Identity.
- We use and urge all Scholars and Professors to live by the Nguzo Saba and the Code of Ma’at, which focuses on oneself in becoming a better citizen.
- As a whole, the Professors here are family and believe that “it takes a village to raise a child,” so curriculum is put in place so that our Scholars learn about now, and also to remember their history and where they came from.
To be eligible for African Centered Prep a scholar must maintain the following guidelines: come in for an orientation; have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better; 90% or better attendance record; adhere to all of the uniform guidelines daily; and must not be defiant, disrespectful or a threat to any other Scholar’s education.
Additionally, students must live within the KCPS boundaries and be five years of age by September 1 to enroll in kindergarten.
You may visit the school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 1 PM.
