2019-2020: Enrollment for all KCPS signature schools opens on December 4, 2018. Seats are filled on a first come, first served basis. KCPS will notify you about your offers on March 15, 2019. You have until March 29, 2019 to accept or reject an offer.
Kindergarten: Students must be age 5 by August 31.
To be eligible for African-Centered Prep a scholar must: come in for an orientation; have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better; 90% or better attendance; adhere to all of the uniform guidelines daily; and must not be defiant, disrespectful or a threat to any other Scholar’s education.
Additionally, students must live within the KCPS boundaries.
You may visit the school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Submit applications online or in person at the Board of Education building, 2901 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64109. Applications CANNOT be submitted at the school.
