"Show Me KC Schools was my go-to source when my family moved to Kansas City. I appreciated how it helped me sort out the educational landscape for myself and gave me the information I needed to find the right match for our family."
Originally from Baltimore, Rachel Siegel moved to Kansas City in 2016 after 28 years in the San Francisco Bay Area where she was a school administrator at Aurora School in Oakland. That job marked Rachel's return to education from her entrepreneurial life as a professional organizer. Prior to that, she was the Coordinator of Teacher Education at Mills College in Oakland helping to prepare graduate students for teaching careers in urban schools. She started her career in education as a middle and high school math teacher in Menlo Park, California where she was also involved in advising student government (that means prom planning!) and yearbook. Rachel has a master's degree in Education from Stanford University and a BS in mathematics from Union College in Schenectady, New York. She lives in KCMO where she tries to sneak in sewing and painting projects when her husband and son are sleeping.
