Points of Pride
- As part of our vision of preparing students who have a positive impact on their family, their community and the world, our students have participated in and organized multiple service projects over the years.
- A group of Crossroads Academy middle school students designed an experiment to study the impact of micro-gravity on the germination of sunflower seeds. They submitted their project to a competition sponsored by NASA – and won! Over 2,000 experiments were submitted nation-wide and only 24 experiments were selected to be rocketed to the International Space Station and conducted by astronauts.
- Of all 37 charter schools in the state of Missouri, Crossroads Academy is ranked #1 in the state for overall performance based on 2015 Annual Performance Report.
All families living in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools District are eligible to attend Crossroads Academy. Among these families, priority is given to those who live or work within the Greater Downtown Area (State Line to Prospect, Missouri River to 39th St.).
Crossroads Academy is now accepting applications for both its current and second location for the 2016 – 17 school year. Applications must be received by noon on March 1st, 2016, in order to be considered for the lottery. If we receive more applicants than available slots, a lottery will take place on March 1st. Students not selected during the lottery, or who apply after noon on March 1st, will be placed on a wait list.
