Application Details

Although many schools have application deadlines, most continue to accept applications for available seats on an ongoing basis.

Application Open: January 1, 2024
Enrollment Open: Open Enrollment begins in February.
Kindergarten Cutoff: September 1
Residence: Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area

How to Apply

Open enrollment. First come, first served. Contact the school to schedule an informational meeting at 816-643-6300 or More detailed admissions information and application form is available on their website. All prospective kindergarteners are given an assessment on Kindergarten Readiness and base acceptance on the results.

Apply to Providence

Enrollment Requirements

  • Completed application
  • Birth Certificate
  • Current Immunization Record or Religious Exemption Statement
  • Most recent report card/transcript (not required for kindergarten applicants)

Public schools also require:

  • Proof of Address (also called “Proof of Residency”)
  • Parent or guardian photo ID

Please note that private schools are not required to participate in these exams.
