Learn About Kansas City Signature Schools
Signature schools are tuition-free public schools and they are part of Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS). Each signature school has its own special theme, such as Montessori, language immersion, performing arts, or college prep and supports students with specialized interests. Signature schools are open to any student who lives in the KCPS boundaries, but have a more selective admissions process than neighborhood schools. Applications are required and they have a limited number of seats which are filled on a first come, first served basis. Students at most signature schools must maintain grade and attendance standards.
